The Pomeranian is #22 in the AKC Top 100 list (which actually goes to currently 184 Breeds!) Those of you that have Pomeranians most likely feel they are #1! In 1911 the American Pomeranian Club held its first speciality show.  Pomerania is an area on both sides of Germany and Poland at the Baltic Sea. This is where it is thought the breed became bred down to size. (again I learned something new! Anyone else?)
